Coordinate the purlin with the roof system

A purlin enquiry should identify the roof member and its interfaces, rather than relying on a product photograph. Include the roof layout and relevant design requirements.

• Purlin section shape, dimensions and required member lengths.
• Bay spacing, support conditions and any overlaps or splice locations.
• The roof covering and its fastening arrangement.
• Project load requirements and any dimensional or deflection limits.
• Connection drawings, hole schedules and the required number of each member.
