Handrails need to match the access route and supporting structure. A plan and elevation help identify the rail runs, changes in level and fixing interfaces.

  • Total rail runs, corners, changes in level and stair sections.
  • Post height and spacing, rail arrangement and any toe-board requirement.
  • Base, side-mount or other fixing details and the supporting substrate.
  • Project design loads and the guardrail or access requirements to be assessed.
  • Component quantities, connection details and any site assembly restrictions.
