Technical Resources
Use these practical checklists to prepare a product enquiry. You do not need every technical detail to begin; include the information you have and identify what remains open.
Information for any enquiry
- Product name, product family or a short description of the application.
- Required quantity and unit, including any mix of sizes or components.
- Dimensions, a drawing, a specification or photographs of an existing item.
- Delivery country and, if known, the city, port or delivery location and target timing.
- Any project standards, test reports, drawings or other documentation that you require.
Details that depend on the product
| Product group | Useful details |
|---|---|
| Grating, profiles and access | Panel or section dimensions; mesh or surface requirement; support spacing; loading requirement; operating environment; cutting, fixing or assembly scope. |
| Pipes, tanks and covers | Medium and concentration; operating temperature; pressure or vacuum where relevant; diameter, capacity or opening; connections; support and installation conditions. |
| Environmental and cooling equipment | Process duty and flow; inlet and required outlet conditions; contaminants or medium; pressure or pressure-drop requirements; installation space; existing equipment information. |
| Cable and site products | Dimensions; layout; quantity; loading or fixing requirement; intended environment; markings or colours where relevant; interfaces with existing components. |
FRP, GRP and fibreglass
GRP means glass fibre reinforced polymer. FRP is the broader term for fibre reinforced polymer and is commonly used for the glass-fibre products in this catalogue. Fibreglass and fiberglass are alternative English spellings used in product searches.
Check the material of each component individually. Accessories such as cooling tower fill media and demister elements are not automatically made from FRP. A material name alone does not establish chemical compatibility, load capacity, fire behaviour or electrical performance.
Stair covers, nosings and load-bearing treads
Covers and nosings
These are fitted to existing steps as surface or front-edge components. The existing stair structure carries the load. Include the step dimensions, substrate and intended fixing arrangement.
Load-bearing treads
These form the walking surface between supports. Selection requires the tread dimensions, support arrangement, loading requirement and fixing details. A tread cover is not a substitute for a structural tread.
Discuss the documentation you need
If your project requires a drawing, test report, certificate or specified standard, include that requirement in the enquiry. The available documentation must be checked against the actual product and conditions; a generic claim or a photograph does not establish compliance.
Send a product name, drawing or outline of the project, and identify any details that still need to be clarified.
