In short: When choosing an FRP grating supplier in China, look for proof, not claims: test reports you can trace, a sample you can measure, a load table for your depth, clear Incoterms and acceptance of third-party inspection. Typical listings show about USD 10–23/m² for standard panels, MOQs around 50 m² and about 15 working days production. This page links our detailed guides on each step.

What should a supplier be able to show?
- Traceable test reports: fire (ASTM E84), load tables, chemical resistance.
- Quality system: check any ISO 9001 certificate on the issuer's database.
- Samples: measure height, mesh and glass content.
- Factory evidence: video calls or visits to the production floor.
- References: projects similar to yours.
What prices, MOQs and lead times are typical?
| Item | Typical range |
|---|---|
| Standard 38 mm mesh panel | about USD 10–23/m² EXW/FOB |
| MOQ | about 50 m²; some none |
| Production | about 15 working days |
| Deposit | 30–50% |
These are typical listing prices from other makers (EXW/FOB). FIBROVX quotes CIF by default, FOB on request.
Details: price per m² and MOQ and lead time.

Which claims should you check?
- Certificates: verify with the issuing body.
- Fire ratings: report must match resin and product.
- Capacity and years: ask for evidence.
- Marine approvals: check the certificate number with the class society.
How do you protect the order?
Use a written specification, signed sample and pre-shipment inspection: RFQ checklist, inspection checklist, importing FRP from China.

How to check a supplier remotely
Remote supplier checks
| Check | How to do it | What a good answer looks like |
|---|---|---|
| Factory or trader | Ask for a live video tour of molding or pultrusion lines | Production equipment shown on a working day |
| Business license | Ask for a copy; check the registered name matches the contract | Same legal name on the license, contract and invoice |
| Test reports | Ask for recent load and fire reports for the exact product | Report names the product, thickness and resin |
| Third-party inspection | Ask whether SGS, BV or Intertek can inspect before shipment | Yes, at the buyer’s choice |
FIBROVX has its own factory in China. We are glad to show production by video before an order.
Trade terms and documents
Agree the Incoterm in writing. Under Incoterms 2020, CIF and FOB both pass risk to the buyer when the goods are on board at the port of shipment; CIF adds freight and minimum insurance to the destination port. FIBROVX quotes CIF to the destination port by default and FOB China port on request. See compare FRP factory quotes, CIF vs FOB.
Ask which documents come with the goods: commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin and any test reports. If your import needs a specific certificate of origin form, say so before shipment.
Protecting quality on the first order
- Approve a signed sample or photos of the first production panel.
- Put dimensions, tolerances, resin, color and grit in the PO, not only in emails.
- Book third-party inspection; see inspection checklist.
- Ask for marking to your drawing, so site teams can place panels without re-measuring.

Payment and contract points
- Write the Incoterm and named port in the contract, for example "CIF Rotterdam, Incoterms 2020".
- Link the balance payment to an agreed event, such as a passed inspection or shipment documents.
- State the warranty terms in writing and what evidence a claim needs.
- Agree who pays for re-inspection if the first inspection fails.
Red flags
- No live video of production when asked.
- Test reports that name a different product, thickness or company.
- Prices well below the market range for the same resin and thickness.
- Reluctance to accept third-party inspection.
- A bank account name that differs from the contract party.

Key terms
- Incoterms: trade terms such as FOB and CIF.
