Define each support and its fixing interface
Use a support layout to identify the different brackets or arms required. Show how each support connects to the wall, floor or other structure.
- Arm length, section dimensions, number of levels and quantities by type.
- Cable arrangement and the load assigned to each support.
- Spacing along the route and any changes in level.
- Mounting-hole positions, anchors and the supporting substrate.
- Exposure conditions and any dimensional, load-test or installation documentation required.
Support selection must include the mounting and anchoring conditions. A bracket photograph or nominal arm length does not establish the capacity of the installed assembly.
