Describe the fume stream and extraction system

An acid-fume enquiry should identify the chemicals present and how the scrubber will connect to the extraction route. Include variable operating conditions as well as normal duty.

  • Acid species, mixtures, concentrations and other contaminants in the gas.
  • Airflow range, temperature, moisture and any entrained droplets.
  • Required outlet conditions and the specified verification method.
  • Available water, treatment medium and requirements for liquid handling.
  • Duct sizes, space limits and whether fans, pumps or controls are included in the enquiry.

An FRP scrubber is not universally suitable for every acid or mixed fume. Material compatibility and treatment performance require review of the actual stream and process conditions.
