Make the marking and placement unambiguous

A marker-post enquiry should define what the post needs to identify and how it will be installed. Supply approved wording or artwork where markings form part of the requirement.

• Post length, cross-section and the intended exposed height.
• The location being identified and the required wording, symbols or numbering.
• Colour requirements and artwork for each face of the post.
• Buried, base-mounted or other fixing details.
• Quantities by marking variant and the exposure conditions at the site.

The post does not replace the project owner's identification plan. Wording, placement, material requirements and any required local marking convention need to be confirmed for the site.
